ABOUT CARING ANGEL PAGEANTS

CARING ANGEL is a family oriented program established in 2007. Caring Angels Pageants is operated by
Rita  and Ron Wedell and the Wedell Family.  The National Director, Rita Wedell has over 30 years of pageant
experience as a director, producer, coach, competitor, and mother of competitors. Our goal is to have
families gather together for a fun event  where children can utilize their competitive spirit as well as serve as
a fund raiser for the national charity we have chosen to support which is United Cerebral Palsy. CARING
ANGEL has  been  named in  honor and loving memory of our  son, CORY SCOTT  WEDELL.

ABOUT  CEREBRAL PALSY

Cerebral Palsy is an umbrella term encompassing a group of non-progressive, non-contagious conditions
that cause physical disability to the human  development.   Cerebral refers to the  area of the  brain called the
cerebrum  and palsy refers to  disorder of movement.  CP is caused  by damage to the motor control center
of the developing brain and can occur during pregnancy (75%), childbirth (5%), and after birth (15%) to age
3.  CP  can also  occur  through doctor error during childbirth. There is no known cure.

ABOUT THE PAGEANT

We have divisions from ages 0-18 yrs.,19- 40 yrs. and 40+. Many optionals are available including talent and
photogenic.  Prizes include crowns, banners, unique  custom handcrafted crafted trophies and many other
gifts.
